The Sports Club offers the general public access to the Sugamo Sports Center and its programs.

Our facilities

Pool

The swimming pool is 50 m long and divided into two 25 m sections. Both sections have designated lanes for different purposes (e.g., lane swimming, walking). Enrolled members can participate in swimming classes and aquarobics.

Training room 1

This Training room has a generous selection of machines for aerobic exercises and weightlifting, as well as free weights. Fitness coaches are on hand to offer guidance to patrons of all levels and purposes.

Studio

The studio offers a range of fitness and wellbeing programs that are accessible and fun. The programs include aerobics, dance, yoga, qigong, tai chi, and pilates.

Training room 2

Offering a view of the indoor sports court below, this Training room has equipment for aerobic exercises or weightlifting. This Training room also features group programs and personal fitness training.

Indoor Sports Court

In this indoor sports court, we organize a range of accessible sports games, including basketball, badminton, and futsal.

Golf driving range

Here you will find a 22-yard (20 m) driving range with two floors (floor 2 and 3), each with seven shooting slots. There are also outdoor areas for practicing bunker shots and chip shots.
The range also offers lesson plans taught by a professional coach.

Programs

On non-holiday days, Daytime Members can access programs held between from 10:00 to 18:00 and Nighttime Members can access those held from 17:00 to 22:00.

Golf lessons

Individual and group lessons are free to members.

Locker room

The locker room is spacious and equipped with sophisticated restrooms and electric massage chairs. The design uses wood tones to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Sauna and jacuzzi

After all the sporting action, come and relax in the sauna and jacuzzi. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash / shower gels are provided.

Rentals

Each time you visit, we’ll lend you a free towel and face cloth. You can also rent a shirt, pair of shorts, or a pair of shoes. Lockers are rented monthly.

You get one set free. You can rent additional towels for ¥150 each and additional face cloths for ¥50 each.
②Shirt, shorts, shoes
One set of shirt, shorts, and shoes costs ¥600. Alternatively, you could pay ¥200 to rent just a shirt, ¥200 to rent just a pair of shorts, or ¥300 to rent just a pair of shoes.

◆On Sundays and summer holidays, you and your family members (aged 3 or older) can use the Sugamo Sports Center pool.

※Visitors must use the school locker room. They must bring their own towels.

How to sign up

The Sports Club offers the general public access to the Sugamo Sports Center and its programs.

You must complete the enrolment procedure in person at Sugamo Sports Center. If you are enrolling as a high school student, you must be accompanied by a parent. Make sure you bring everything you need (check below for the required items).

What to bring for enrolment

・Sufficient cash to cover the fee for the month of enrolment, the fee for the following month, and the ¥1,100 processing fee.

*We accept cash only.

・Personal identification

(Driving license, National Health Insurance Card, Passport, Residence card, or “My Number” card)

・Either 1) your credit/debit/cash card (if you pay by card, you will need to enter your PIN number) or
2) bank details (branch name and account number) along with your bank seal (the seal you registered with the bank when opening the account).

We will set up an automatic monthly transfer via Pay-Easy.
You must bring bank details and your registered seal if:
1) you intend to pay your membership from an account of an online bank or from a trust account or
2) if your bank card has no magnetic stripes (i.e., if the card is for ID purposes only or if it is an EMV smartcard).

When the monthly fee is withdrawn

The monthly fee is automatically withdrawn from your designated account on the 27th day of the month (or on the following day if the 27th is a bank holiday). The first transfer will be made two months after the month in which you enrolled (for example, if you enrolled in January, the first transfer will be made in March). We do NOT accept Japan Post Bank (Yucho) accounts or certain trust accounts.

If you are or will be aged 75 or older on the fiscal year (April to March of the following year) in which you enroll, you will need to undergo Fitness test at Sugamo sports center before the enrolment procedure begins.

Guests

Guests must be accompanied by a member. We allow no more than three guests per member.

・Guest fee
We charge ¥2,610 for each guest of a high school age or older and ¥1,360 for each guest of a junior-high school age or younger. Guests can only use the pool and locker room.

You are free to use the facilities as soon as the enrolment procedure is completed.
