Join Mitsubishi Yowa Sports Club

Mitsubishi Yowakai Foundation runs Mitsubishi Yowa Sports Club, a for-profit undertaking. Employees of the Mitsubishi Group Companies and its associates can access the facilities for a discounted price.

Core Mitsubishi Companies

“Core Companies” refers to the 24 Mitsubishi Group companies that are members of the Kinyokai.
Membership of Mitsubishi Yowa Sports Club is open to employees and alumni of Core Companies and the family members of such persons.
Core Companies and Core Company Members can hire club facilities (including outdoor and indoor sports courts and a conference room).

Non-Core Mitsubishi Companies

“Non-Core Companies” includes associates that have become corporate members of Mitsubishi Yowa Sports Club by undergoing the enrolment process for Mitsubishi associates.
Membership of Mitsubishi Yowa Sports Club is open to employees of Non-Core Companies and their family members.
Non-Core Companies and Non-Core Company Members can hire club facilities (including outdoor and indoor sports court and a conference room).
As of April 2024, 70 Non-Core Mitsubishi Companies have signed up.
Non-Core Companies have praised our facilities for their role in employee wellbeing and for facilitating communication between Mitsubishi Group companies.

Mitsubishi.com Companies

“Mitsubishi.com Companies” refers to Mitsubishi Group Associates that are not registered as Non-Core Members but are associate members of the corporate website, mitsubishi.com. Membership of Mitsubishi Yowa Sports Club is open to employees of Mitsubishi.com Companies and their spouses.

*Mitsubishi Group Associates are organizations that are neither Core Company Members nor Non-Core Company Members but are associate members of mitsubishi.com.

Pool

The swimming pool is 50 m long and divided into two 25 m sections. Both sections have designated lanes for different purposes (e.g., lane swimming, walking). Enrolled members can participate in swimming classes and aquarobics.

This Training room has a generous selection of machines for aerobic exercises and weightlifting, as well as free weights. Fitness coaches are on hand to offer guidance to patrons of all levels and purposes.

Studio

The studio offers a range of fitness and wellbeing programs that are accessible and fun. The programs include aerobics, dance, yoga, qigong, tai chi, and pilates.

Offering a view of the indoor sports court below, this Training room has equipment for aerobic exercises or weightlifting. This Training room also features group programs and personal fitness training.

In this indoor sports court, we organize a range of accessible sports games, including basketball, badminton, and futsal.
Enrolled members can participate in a tennis training program.

Golf Range

Golf driving range

Here you will find a 22-yard (20 m) driving range with two floors (floor 2 and 3), each with seven shooting slots. There are also outdoor areas for practicing bunker shots and chip shots.
The range also offers lesson plans taught by a professional coach.

The locker room is spacious and equipped with sophisticated restrooms and electric massage chairs. The design uses wood tones to create a relaxing atmosphere.

After all the sporting action, come and relax in the sauna and jacuzzi. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash / shower gels are provided.

Rentals

Each time you visit, we’ll lend you a free towel and face cloth. You can also rent a shirt, pair of shorts, or a pair of shoes. Lockers are rented monthly.

You get one set free. You can rent additional towels for ¥150 each and additional face cloths for ¥50 each.
②Shirt, shorts, shoes
One set of shirt, shorts, and shoes costs ¥600. Alternatively, you could pay ¥200 to rent just a shirt, ¥200 to rent just a pair of shorts, or ¥300 to rent just a pair of shoes.

Locker rental

*Rental agreements are signed with the employee/alumnus (not with a family member or spouse)
¥1,880/month for medium size locker, ¥1,040 for standard size locker

You must complete the enrolment procedure in person at Sugamo sports center. Make sure you bring everything you need (check below for the required items).

What to bring for enrolment

・Personal identification

  • Employees：

    Your National Health Insurance card (or employee ID, if you have one)
    (if you are enrolling as a Mitsubishi.com Company Member, we would also accept an employee enrolment certificate or a certificate from the head of HR)

  • Member of alumni association：

    Driving license, National Health Insurance Card, “My Number” card

  • Family members：

    Driving license, National Health Insurance Card, “My Number” card (if you are a student, bring your student ID).

・Either 1) your credit/debit/cash card (if you pay by card, you will need to enter your PIN number) or
 2) bank details (branch name and account number) along with your bank seal (the seal you registered with the bank when opening the account).

Pay easy's icon

We will set up an automatic monthly transfer via Pay-Easy.
You must bring bank details and your registered seal if:
1) you intend to pay your membership from an account of an online bank or from a trust account or
2) if your bank card has no magnetic stripes (i.e., if the card is for ID purposes only or if it is an EMV smartcard).

・Sufficient cash to cover the fee for the month of enrolment, the fee for the following month, and the ¥1,100 processing fee.

1The following rules apply to children (elementary schoolers and preschoolers): Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There must be one responsible adult for every two children at the club. We do not allow children to use their own lockers—their belongings should be stowed in the locker of the accompanying adult. We do not allow elementary schoolers to enter the locker room of the opposite sex—the accompanying adult must be of the same sex as the child for that child to enter a locker room.

When the monthly fee is withdrawn

The monthly fee is automatically withdrawn from your designated account on the 27th day of the month (or on the following day if the 27th is a bank holiday). The first transfer will be made two months after the month in which you enrolled (for example, if you enrolled in January, the first transfer will be made in March). We do NOT accept Japan Post Bank (Yucho) accounts or certain trust accounts.

*Enrolment for persons aged 75 or older

If you are or will be aged 75 or older on the fiscal year (April to March of the following year) in which you enroll, you will need to undergo Fitness test at Sugamo sports center before the enrolment procedure begins.

Guests

Guests must be accompanied by a member. We allow no more than three guests per member.

・Guest fee

We charge ¥2,610 for each guest of a high school age or older and ¥1,360 for each guest of a junior-high school age or younger. Guests can only use the pool and locker room.

You are free to use the facilities as soon as the enrolment procedure is completed.
